Blue [Chapter 12]

Summarized by: Marx

So after her teacher tells her that he wants her to immediately return to Tokyo, she asks herself why he’s with her mother. She tells him that she’s not coming back. She asks how she could come back, and asks why he called, then tells him not to call. She looks flustered, and Yousuke takes the phone and puts his hand on her shoulder. He tells Sensei that if he had anything to say he could say it to him, and refers to Sensei as Mimi’s ex-boyfriend. It seems that he’s been taking care of her mother, and that she’s collapsed. He asks if it’s okay if she doesn’t go, and she says that it’s fine. Her mother fainting is normal, it’s just her psychological problems manifesting into a physical symptom. She adds that she doesn’t want to see Sensei. She thinks that she finally thought she could forget him. He asks her if she wants to talk about it, and says that you can only defeat the enemy after you understand them. She laughs, and asks if Sensei is now the enemy. Yousuke says he is, because he made Mimi show such an expression. He pats her head as he says this. She cries into his chest, and asks him to listen.

She starts narrating that it started on September three years ago, when she’d just arrived at Tokyo. She was being ostracised. There are some girls talking about a party, and one of them asks should they ask her, but the other one says no, because that girl isn’t the same as them. She looks out the window, and thinks that the Tokyo sky is dreary. For some reason, lately her back has been hurting and she heads to the infirmary. The teacher’s not there, and she notices someone sleeping. It’s the teacher, and when she leans over he wakes up and touches her cheek. He tells her to keep it a secret that he’s been slacking off in the infirmary, and she’s shocked by him. She grabs her medicine and leaves, but the teacher says that she’s the person that often comes and takes medicine, isn’t she? And asks if she has some sort of problem. He says that if she talks about it, the she wouldn’t need to take medicine. He says that he’s willing to listen anytime, and that he’ll be here everyday. As she leaves, she thinks that she doesn’t need to talk about her problems. Her problems and school, and at home, she knows that they all come from within her. But, there was someone who told her ‘I’ll listen anytime’. She comes back the next day, and he’s slumped at the desk. He greets her, but she says that she only came for the medicine. She started going every day, but she never talked to him, and he didn’t ask her anything. At one point, he reaches out to touch her, but stops short. She asks him what he’s doing, and he replies that he thought if he touched her it would be considered sexual harassment. He says that she’s really cute, and that she’s a little like how he was in the past, so he couldn’t leave her alone. Then a woman walks in, and she thanks him for looking after the infirmary while she was gone. He says that it’s okay, he was just sleeping there anyway. He leaves, and Mimi asks the female teacher if he has any family. The teacher teases her and asks if she wants to know whether or not he has a wife. The woman tells her that he’s not married, and that his parents had also passed away early so he’s been living by himself.

Back at home, she thinks that she still has family. She tells her mother that it’s not good to only ingest alcohol and snacks, but her mother yells at her to mind her own business. She stumbles off without eating the food Mimi made, and Mimi tells herself that she shouldn’t mind too much, it’s because of the alcohol that her temper’s bad. She goes back to washing up, and narrates that at that time she desperately held in her tears. For some reason, at that time she wanted to be with sensei. She runs to school, and thinks that she wasn’t sure if it was love or pity. She runs to him, but he’s accepting a bento from the female sensei from before. She was holding a bento for him, but when she sees them she leaves. Later, he catches up to her and asks her why she didn’t come to the infirmary today. He notices that she has two bentos, and asks why. She hands one to him and says that it’s for him, then apologises for disrupting his private time with the other sensei. She tells him that she won’t go to the infirmary any more, then runs off. In class, she consoles herself saying that from the beginning she didn’t have any hopes. She clutches her stomach and thinks that it really hurts. He comes and places her bento on the desk, saying he’s giving it back. He leaves after that, and she says that he didn’t have to do that. She opens it, and finds it empty with a note from him saying that it was very delicious. She goes to find him later, and says that he ate portions, he didn’t need to do that. He says that of course he had to eat it, because they were Ichito-san’s feelings. She starts crying, and he says that it’s so strange to cry about something like that. He grabs her by the shoulders and says that she isn’t getting along with her family, she’s depressed, she should say all that aloud. If there’s anything he can do, no matter what he’ll do it. He asks her what she wants him to do. She narrates that that was the first time he was so forward, and even though he was a teacher, the feelings in his eyes made her feel like she could talk to him. She bursts into tears, and says ‘I’m begging you, please like me…!’ And then he kisses her, and she kisses him back. And then they have sex in the infirmary. (Not going into detail here.)

Later, they’re about to have sex in the school, but then some students see them, and ask what they’re doing. Her shirt’s undone and he’s leaning over her. She says that from that day on, their relationship progressed to the point where they were hurting each other.

Bebe©Xiu: This is the last chapter from Marx, but I have another translator that is going to continue with this series.

So, the flashback was 3 years ago. That means Mimi was, what, 13 or 14 when she lost her virginity? That sensei is very creepy.

I agree, sensei is very creepy... and WHY is he with her mother? And I'm glad she told him she didn't need to go back and I'm glad that she was strong enough to tell sensei to leave her alone.
