Tora's on the cover of this chapter. The chapter starts where the story left off where Yayoi (Why are all Yayois so sneaky? Think "White Album" Yayoi) asks Mii if she likes Tora-sensei. Mii replies with a, "Um... I... towards Tora..." But she's interrupted by Tora who apologizes for making them wait and says they should go in already. Both girls look at him in surprise, but since Tora's dense, he continues smiling and asks what's up. Yayoi nervously laughs and says it's nothing, she then proceeds to give the ticket to Mii and says they should all go in. Mii thanks her for the ticket. Yayoi comes up to Tora and asks him to kinda guide her once they go in - tell her more about the works of art shown at the exhibition- Meanwhile, Mii thinks about how Yayoi's confession really shocked her, Yayoi looked her right in the eyes when she told her about her love for Tora, which made Mii all stiff. Mii then wonders in shock about what would of happened if Tora didn't interrupt them, and thinks that she would've probably told Yayoi some unneccesary things. Mii is lost in thought when Yayoi calls out to her saying that that's where they're going to start. Mii and Tora look at the first painting and Yayoi in awe exclaims that it must be Gauguin. Tora says she's right. Yayoi comments on how Gauguin has been to a lot of southern countries and has a lot of paintings of them and adds that this one is Haiti. Tora agrees once again. Mii is still thinking: "I... about Tora..." They then move on to the next painting and Tora says it's "Moulin de la Galetto". Yayoi says it must be Renoir, and comments that it's very beautiful. Tora looks at the painting in awe (Here you can see this painting: http://www.wallpaperlink.com/images/wallpaper/2007/0702/03138x.jpg ). Yayoi calls out to him saying that she found Degas but Tora doesn't react to it. He seems to be totally taken in by Renoir's painting. Mii looks at him and thinks he looks the same he did back then, the painting in Japanese style Tora, the working in that arts room Tora, and after that she wasn't able to avert her eyes from him. The scene now changes to them taking a break at a cafe (I think it's in the same building?). Yayoi exclaims that it was a truly great exhibition. She says she's always very happy when she sees so many paintings, and Tora-sensei hasn't moved an inch while staring at that Renoir's painting. Tora apologizes and says that Ookami has told him before as well that when Tora concentrates on art, he doesn't hear anything. Yayoi says that she understands and comments that it's really amazing to see Sesanne's still-life picture in Japan. Tora agrees. Yayoi can't remember what type of art Sesanne was part of. Tora says that Sesanne was originally a follower of romance doctrine. Yayoi agrees and says that he was influenced by Dracula. Listening to their conversation, Mii thinks that she's totally out of place here. At that moment, Tora looks at Mii and asks how she liked the exhibition. Mii is surprised that he asked her and then exclaims that Picasso was alright. Yayoi and Tora stare at her in confusion and Yayoi says that there was no Picasso (xD) Mii turns red and exclaims that there so many beautiful paintings there that she just can't remember all of them. She nervously thinks that she sounds like a kid. But Tora smiles and says she's right, he also thinks so. He was able to see many painting techniques by different historical people today, so he thinks the same as Mii. Mii exclaims that their paintings must have been very precious to them. Tora agrees. He says that a lot of cooks used to be painters (unless he uses a term, I got this right). He says that Mii too, who knows, if she started drawing, maybe it could turn out good. Yayoi has a desperate look on her face as she hears that. Mii confused, says, "Oh is that so..." and thinks that somehow she doesn't understand what Ookami said about Tora back then, that he's no good. Mii then narrates that she didn't take what Ookami said back then close to the heart.
The following day at school, Yayoi comes up to Mii and thanks her for yesterday, and says it was a lot of fun. Mii *sweatdrops* and says that she had fun too and apologizes for intruding. Yayoi then apologizes for yesterday's conversation about art that Mii couldn't understand and kept on saying only "yes, yes". She then gives Mii a plastic back and asks her to take this so that she'd be able to enjoy yesterday's art exhibition a bit more. She then says goodbye to Mii and leaves. Mii is left confused with the bag. She looks inside and sees a book about Impressionists. There's a note on the book which says that it'd be great to go somewhere together like this again. Mii sadly thinks that Yayoi-chan is a really good girl, and yet Mii, herself is... Yayoi-chan was enjoying the time with Tora without any bad thoughts, yet Mii intruded... Mii is sitting in class while thinking about it. She's woken up from her thoughts when Ookami smashes his fist onto her desk. He's got a really black aura around him as he angrily tells Mii that she hasn't even taken out her textbook, and asks if she's mocking him. Mii is in shock as she realizes that class has already started. Ookami tells her that she should stop being a student and she should stop being human. Mii exclaims that he shouldn't go as far as that!! Ookami looks at her with a sad expression and tells her to come to the science room after class. Mii is in terror as she thinks she angered him and humbly says yes. She thinks it's super scary. After class she knocks on the door of the science lab and says she's coming in. Ookami tells her to sit down. Mii says "yes". Ookami snaps that it's not a "yes", it's a sit down! Mii, afraid, sits down. Ookami sits down too and asks her if anything has happened. "It's about Tora, right?" Mii is surprised to hear that. Ookami says that it'd be super annoying if she ambushed him near the bath-house again, so did anything happen with that Yayoi girl? Mii says yes. She asks why Ookami said that Tora was no good. Ookami looks surprised as he asks, "Again that... so, no matter what, you want to know, huh?" He looks away. Mii exclaims that she does. Ookami starts telling her that he's told her before that he and Tora have been together since they were kids, until university. Back then in high school there was an A-student, a girl. She was aiming for the College Of Arts and tried to get closer to Tora. "Sengoku-kun paints in Japanese style?" "Waah, but he's still a kid!" "So you're familiar with all the tools?" Since she did metal carvings, she'd always carry a hammer, just like a boy, and she'd also compare her physical strength to Tora's. Ookami says that he's said before that he will never forgive anyone if he/she is a hindrance to Tora. But that A-girl was not like that. She'd always tell him to do his best. Since both of them had the same goal, they had a lot of fun together. Flashback: That A-girl boasts to Ookami that she's carved a parent and child frogs - one on top of the other. But Ookami comments that it's not a parents and a child, but more like two animals mating (pffffft, Ookami xD) The girl in shock exclaims if he's for real. But Ookami indifferently comments that whatever it is, it's alright. Tora giggles. End of flashback. Ookami says that she was an interesting girl. And during winter of their 3rd high school year, he and that A-girl were going home together (because their houses were in the same direction). Flashback: The girl tells Ookami that she likes Tora. Ookami tells Mii that honestly speaking, he was shocked because he always thought of A-girl as another male friend, and it was too sudden. A-girl then asked Ookami for a favor - to indirectly talk about her to Tora. Because she was planning on going to an Arts College in Kansai she was getting impatient because of the little time that was left. So once during their walk (or on their way home) Ookami asks Tora if there's a girl he likes. Tora is surprised as he asks what's up with it all of a sudden. Ookami asks what would Tora do if there was a girl that liked him. Tora says that he wouldn't really do anything. He doesn't really understand what it means to love someone, or how to fall in love. Mii is shocked upon hearing it. In the flashback Ookami tells Tora that A-girl will be leaving very soon to Kyoto. Tora smiles and says he's right, and he wants that A-girl to do her best there. Ookami tells Mii he didn't speak about it anymore to Tora after his words. Later on, Ookami told A-girl about their conversation. A-girl became red, smiled awkwardly and said "Oh, so that's what feelings he has... " She then tells Ookami that she thought that he could be feeling something more... because Tora is so kind. A-girl starts crying. She thanked Ookami and left. Ookami says that after that A-girl never showed herself to them. And during their 4 years at the university she's never once contacted them. Mii then says, "... Ookami... about that girl..?" Ookami looks surprised at first but then says that there's no way it could be like that, idiot (ohhhh, he definitely liked that girl, Ohhhh I sense her coming back in the future chapters, hu hu). He says that it's kinda become like a habit, a lot of girls would fall in love with Tora and then understand it's no good. When a person tries to convey his/her feelings, no matter what shape those feelings have, you'd want to accept them, right? But Tora doesn't understand what it means to accept such feelings. On her way home, Mii thinks that Ookami is different from what she's thought of him, and the same goes for Tora. She remembers Ookami's words, when he said that he doesn't want to see another girl getting rejected like that. Mii mentally tells Ookami, that she's fine, she's alright. After all the two of them are a good image for her BL stories. Come to think of it she hasn't continued writing her story recently. As she says that aloud a voice from behind asks what has she not continued? Mii turns around and automatically replies "BL story". The guy, curiously asks: "BL?" Mii is in shock as she realizes what she's just said as she sees Tora standing behind her. He asks her if she's on her way home. She's so nervous as she says she is. She drops her plastic bag and Tora sees the book about Impressionists. Mii says that it's a present from Yayoi-chan. Tora says that Hachinohe-san is really serious [about art]. Mii says she is and is in the middle of saying goodbye but Tora asks her if she wants to see Picasso. Before that, Mii thinks that it's no good to be together with Tora. Now she's shocked to hear that. Tora says that he's got a book about Picasso at home and asks her if she would like to look at it. Mii is in total shock from such a sudden invitation. She agrees, and now they're at Tora's apartment. When she comes in, she thinks that everything looks really neat and tidy, unlike what she imagined. Mii says that it doesn't look like he's living here, does he only sleep here.Tora says he says he does, and asks if Mii would like tea. She says yes and thanks him. Meanwhile, Mii is staring at Tora's room and keeps repeating to herself it's his room. She the comments that he's got lots of tools for painting, does he also have photos? Tora says he does, he does photography mostly as a hobby and as inspiration for his paintings. He then gives Mii the cup with tea and tells her it's hot. Mii thanks him and touches the cup accidentally touching Tora's hand, Mii blushes and quickly withdraws her hand. Tora asks if it was really hot. But Mii says she's alright. Mii then turns away, still red, and says she's got to go back. But Tora interrupts her and tells her to wait a sec, he wants to let her hair down. Mii is surprised. He undoes her bun and her hair falls down, revealing her curly hair. Tora compliments that her hair is beautiful. He then touches it and says that since she always wears a bun, he's always wondered how she looked like with her hair down. Tora says that it's just as he thought, it's cute (or she, the object is omitted). Tora brings Mii's hair to his face and smiles. Mii blushes and thinks it's no good, that guy definitely says all that without much thinking. "I understand. I understand, Ookami. You thought that I'd become like that A-girl, right?" Flashback to her talk with Ookami. Ookami says that Tora is always nice to people, that's why he's popular, and that's why he gives false hope, but it's only his usual behaviour, that's all there is. End of flashback. Mii looks at smiling Tora who gives her the cup of tea. Mii thinks she understands now. She'll probably cry, cry a lot. Even though she's telling herself to stop - liking the person her first school friend ever liked (and moreover, it's a teacher). But if she doesn't see this face (Tora's smiling face) that face with a serious look staring at her, she thinks she'll fall.
Translator's Comment: Sooooo, basically it's just like I've said. Tora is so friendly because he doesn't have any other thoughts. People that get so passionate about things they love, tend to fail at relationship commitments. In Tora, I like the same thing Mii does - his attitude when he's painting or when he's seeing a work of art. So I really am curious about how it's gonna turn out and honestly speaking I can't wait to see her turn to Ookami. It's most likely that that girl from the past will show up, and it's obvious judging by Ookami's reaction that he liked her, he probably still likes her. And probably when that girl will show up, Mii will realize she's got feelings for Ookami (nuhuh, I'm no mangaka really xD). That girl from the past looked really tomboyish, as she would always wear that sportsuit. Yayoi seems like a good girl, and I don't really know what to expect from her.
P.S. I think Mii has not realized it herself yet: she's not in love with Tora, she's in love with Tora's attitude towards art, that's all there

Thanks so much for summary, I've been looking forward to it!
Sporty girl (Girl A) reminds me a whole of the snack girl Sarah from HYD. Ookami reminds me of the love interest from Cat Street, though it's only been a volume or two. Perhaps his character will read a little more different the more we get into the series. He is a bit cantankerous than most of her male protagonists XD
I'm not so crazy about Mii's obsession with Tora because it's a lot like Tsukushi's crush on Rui at the beginning of HYD. I don't mind the similarities so much, but it always takes sooo long before the girl realizes that she's not really in love with him anyway.
I'm so surprised that Mii's hair is curly! Anyway, thanks again for the summary, looking forward to read what happens next :)
the times mii have been mesmerized by tora and couldn't take her eyes off him is when he's into his art and other art works. there have never been any other times where art wasn't involved that she became enraptured by him, so i don't believe she loves him. its just a crush based on his passion for art and how nice he is. good thing she realized early what ookami said about tora being no good is so very true, that way, mangaka willing and hopefully, it won't take her forever to realize that she wasn't really inlove w/ him anyways. right now what i'd like to see most is if, when and the reaction of ookami and tora when they find out mii been writing a BL story about them, lol.
Awright~ So now that we got the foundation for the story down we can get some action~. huhu I'm really liking this story (as I like most of her other works) so Thanks for summarizing it.
Thanks for the translation!!! I love this manga!!
Thanks for the summary! I can´t wait to read what happens next.
I really think this is interesting. sorta. I agree that Ken (Ookami or w.e)has feelings for the other girl. I am kind of reluctant towards student teacher relationships soo i don't care who she falls for, I'd like to see a realistic ending. 22 is still older than 16 lol. I agree as well that its tora's passion as well as his kind disposition i think that attracts Mii. Not him personally. I think she will fall for "Ken" later. Also, I don't believe Yayoi's too much of a nice person but i don't know im a little on the fence with her.....
I really don't know what to expect in this so i'll continue to follow it. Thanks for the post!! U did a great job! xD

thx a lot, this series turns out to so much better than I thought
